Gala Dinner & Best Paper Awards
The conference Gala Dinner will take place on Thursday, June 11, at the Sala Baiocco, a Liberty-style jewel inside the historic Albergo Italia on Corso Vittorio Emanuele — a few minutes’ walk from the Congress Hall. The Best Paper Awards will be presented during the evening.

The Gala Dinner is reserved for:
1. Participants who have paid the conference registration fee (the dinner is included in the registration).
2. Guests explicitly invited by the Organising Committee.
3. Accompanying persons or external guests who purchase a standalone Gala Dinner ticket (€ 100).
Standalone tickets must be confirmed at the Welcome Desk upon arrival and paid exclusively by bank transfer within 7 days. No cash or card payments will be accepted.

🏛 The venue — Sala Baiocco
Inaugurated in 1895 in the presence of King Umberto I, the Sala Baiocco was the social heart of L’Aquila’s Belle Époque. The hall features a double-height space divided by coupled columns, with a vaulted ceiling adorned with lunettes and an upper gallery with wrought-iron balustrades. The Liberty stucco decorations are the work of Giovanni and Bernardino Feneziani; the ceiling paintings include a central canvas by Teofilo Patini and allegorical figures by his pupils.
Severely damaged in the 2009 earthquake, the hall has been painstakingly restored and reopened as part of L’Aquila’s designation as Italian Capital of Culture 2026. A conference dedicated to digital technologies for cultural heritage could find no more fitting setting — a space where tradition and innovation meet in the same room. The evening will feature Abruzzese cuisine and local wines.

🏆 Best Paper Awards
Three awards will be presented during the Gala Dinner. All submitted papers are eligible; winners are selected by the Scientific Committee based on originality, scientific rigour and relevance.
🥇 Best Young Researcher
Awarded to young authors (first author and ≤ 30 years old at the time of submission) who present an original, methodologically sound, and clearly structured contribution. The award highlights the quality and innovative potential of emerging research.
🥇 Best Innovation Work
Granted for a contribution that introduces a particularly innovative approach — in methodology, technology, or application — to the field of digital technologies for cultural heritage.
🥇 Best Interdisciplinary Work
Awarded to a contribution that effectively integrates multiple disciplinary fields, producing high-impact scientific and applied results through cross-domain collaboration.
