Abstract
This special session explores the convergence of Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gamification, and Digital Twin technologies as key drivers of innovation in Cultural Heritage. Together, these paradigms are transforming how heritage is documented, reconstructed, interpreted, and experienced, bridging the physical and digital dimensions of culture.
The session aims to bring together interdisciplinary contributions investigating how immersive, intelligent, and interactive systems can foster new forms of engagement, learning, and valorization. It welcomes both theoretical reflections and applied research demonstrating how the integration of XR, AI, and Digital Twins—enhanced by game-based and participatory design—can support sustainable, inclusive, and human-centered approaches to cultural heritage.
